A Prof Richard Gallagher Awarded Medal of the Order
All of us at the clinic here at St Vincent’s Hospital were delighted that Richard was awarded Medal of the Order (OAM).
A big thank you to all those who sent their congratulations. More than anything Richard was happy that the award brought some attention to the plight of those suffering head and neck cancer and the need for the best treatments for patients wherever they may be in Australia. Over many years his dedication to patients here in Sydney and in regional centres has been constant and pretty inspiring. So this formal recognition is truly deserved.
